Madeline Deveroux Band
November 1st – Friday
District Stage, 7-10pm

Country Pop Rock Band – Madeline Deveroux was born into her role as a musician – her singer mother met the guitar-playing father in a rock band. She has been exposed to music throughout her entire life. Originally, the lead singer of White Iris, she left the band to pursue her passion as a solo acoustic country-rock artist. She has written over 100 songs, recording three which are featured on her first EP, “Have Faith in Fate”. It features her hit single “Whiskey Lover”. She has released her full-length LP which will be available at her show.

Nick Jensen
November 1st – Friday
AMC Fountain, 7-9pm

Acoustic Guitar Singer/Songwriter – Nick has been performing around the valley as the front man of local bands Static March and Five High for the last several years. He has recently branched out on his own to create a refreshing “stripped-down” sound using only his acoustic guitar and looping pedals. Nick takes on classic tunes by legends such as Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and Stevie Wonder, as well as modern Top 40 hits. With his smooth vocals and bluesy inspired guitar playing, you’ll be sure to stick around and listen to his whole set!

YoYo Class
November 2nd – Saturday
District Stage, 3-5pm

YoYo classes will be held at the District Stage November 2nd, and November 9th from 3-5pm. Hosted by World and National YoYo Champion Tyler Severance. Students will have the option of purchasing a YoYo from Game Daze ($10 retail) and receive a free play book as well as DVD. Using the book, students will learn all new YoYo tricks, track their progress, earn free prizes from YoYoFactory and discounts from Game Daze. These classes will be in preparation for the 2013 Arizona State YoYo Contest, where all Students will be encouraged to compete in the beginner division!

Sun Devil Athletics

Funk, Soul, Jazz and R&B Band – Ratio is one of Phoenix, Arizona’s premier bands specializing in Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Funk and Pop. Recognized as the “Best Jazz Band in Phoenix” by the Phoenix New Times Magazine and the “Best Blues Band” by the Arizona Republic, this versatile band led by founder Larry Rhymes is comprised of some of the best musicians in Phoenix. Their repertoire contains 60’s and 70’s Funk, 80’s Jams, Smooth Jazz, Classic Soul and Motown.

Grady Soiné

Easy Listening Keyboardist – Grady Soiné of Gradymusic has delighted fans worldwide with his unique style of piano/keyboard music. Grady is an accomplished composer/pianist who’s other passion is bringing ideas to life and helping others accomplish their dreams.

Come Back Buddy

Buddy Holly Tribute Band – Come Back Buddy is a 3-piece rock-n-roll band inspired by the legendary “Buddy Holly and the Crickets.” The trio’s repertoire includes the music of many artists from the 50’s era including Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, and of course, Buddy Holly. Mike Randall provides lead vocals and guitar with Janine Randall on bass and Don Rinehart on drums. The band has a strong foundation…and a strong following!

Sherry Finzer

Flutist – Phoenix based flutist Sherry Finzer has become world-renowned through her Sanctuary music series, performing ambient and relaxing music to heal the body and soul. Sherry is known for her unique blend of musical styles, creating a New Fusion sound consisting of New Age/Healing/Relaxation, Latin, Flamenco, Classical, Pop and Jazz.

YoYo Class

West Hills Brothers

Top 40 Cover and Original Guitarists – The West Hills Brothers are a unique duo of acoustic/electric guitars, vocals and percussion. Carson Smith is on lead vocals, guitar, and percussion, and his twin brother Cole plays acoustic and electric guitar and mandolin. They are originally from West Hills, California but now live in Arizona and perform on a regular basis at art walks, festivals, private parties and special events throughout the state. Their music is a great mix of classic rock, pop, alternative and original tunes with their own unique style.

Acoustic Guitarist Singer/Songwriter – Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Brian is a singer/songwriter who has been sharing the stage with major contemporary/gospel artists since 2006. His passion is to use music, as well as humor, as a tool to positively impact those around him. Brian recently released his latest album, “Let Love In”, with his single, “Rain Or Shine”, gaining radio success across the country.

YoYo Contest

Presented by YoYoFactory and Game Daze, The Arizona State YoYo Contest! On November 16th 2013, from 9am (Registration) until 5pm, check out the District Stage for demonstrations from World and National YoYo Champions, YoYo giveaways, and the best YoYo players in Arizona and from across the USA battling it out for the Arizona State YoYo Champion title. Be sure to check out our YoYo Classes being held in the same place, on October 19th, 26th (at Game Daze) and November 2nd and 9th from 3-5pm where you can learn new YoYo Tricks and brush up on your YoYo skills to compete at the Arizona State YoYo Contest!

Neil Diamond Tribute Band – The ultimate tribute to Neil Diamond and his music! Greg Ansel brings the look and sound of Neil Diamond to recreate the singer/songwriter’s greatest hits including “Sweet Caroline”, “Cracklin’ Rosie” and “Cherry, Cherry”. Bring your clapping hands and your singing voices…cause you’re gonna need em!

Blues Legend Hans Olson
November 16th – Saturday

Blues Guitarist/Vocalist – Hans Olson is a veteran performing musician with over 40 years in the music business. He began his career as a lead singer in a Rock & Roll band in Southern California in 1967. By 1970, Hans had developed a very unique and powerful solo act. He plays an amplified acoustic guitar and harmonica. He is known as one of the best “harp-in-a-rack” players in the world. Hans’ singing is very powerful. His voice is comfortable singing many styles of music ranging from mellow folk ballads to growling boogie blues.

The Irie
November 22nd – Friday

Reggae/Ska Band – The Irie originated in Chandler, Arizona. These three friends shared a passion for Reggae music and decided to move to Hawaii. Immersed in the beauty and island vibe, they worked by day on a mango farm spending every spare moment listening, writing and playing reggae music. Incorporating their multi-genre love of music, they crafted their own lend of rock, reggae and ska. Now back in the valley of the sun, their mission is to spread the Irie vibe through their music.

David & Amy of Peppermint James

Alternative Acoustic Guitar Duo – David & Amy of Peppermint James perform as an Acoustic duo. Peppermint James was formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 2004 with strong influence from The Beatles, The Wailers, traditional jazz and blues artists, and many other outstanding world musicians. The sounds of Peppermint James continually evolves with a no limits attitude towards songwriting and arranging.

Eclectic World Music Band – A multi-cultural musical experience fusing Gypsy, Middle Eastern, Celtic, Greek and Turkish styles with Rock. Traveler’s sound is an innovative, new fusion of World Music and Rock. Using traditional ethnic instruments combined with all the power of a full blown rock band, their performances are intense, exotic and adrenaline-driven.

Jordan Carroll

Indie Guitarist/Vocalist – Welcome to the sounds of up and coming singer/songwriter Jordan Carroll. This Phoenix, Arizona native began playing music in 2009, and by 2011 already had his first 5 song EP entitled Meet Me In The Sun. With deep and engraving lyrics, a vibrant acoustic guitar, and a powerful voice, this southwestern kid has the perfect recipe for success. His music seems to promote a sense of belonging as his voice catches your ear, his lyrics bring you in, and his guitar keeps you coming back for more. Dedication and love are Jordan’s strong suits, and clearly that’s defined in the music you hear from him. Since starting out only four short years ago, Jordan has already been able to promote himself with two self-released tours spanning Arizona, California, Utah, Nevada, Oregon and all the way up to Vancouver, as well as some east coasts stops in Philadelphia, and D.C. before going international on a European tour hitting Spain, The Netherlands, German, London and Switzerland. 2013 has been a busy year for Jordan and after moving to Los Angeles to record his EP at Foreword Studios in Hollywood, California, he has since moved back to his home in Arizona to focus on his next project. Hoping for a mid 2014 release, Jordan continues to grind it out in the studio, and looks to further his success from his first EP.

First Snow Fall with Radio Disney

Sarah’s Lament

Progressive Rock Band – Sarah’s Lament is a progressive rock band from Mesa, Arizona, that combines talent, experience, and multiple influences to create one of a kind music that span generations. On top of unique original tunes, they also play a wide variety of covers that would satisfy any rock connoisseur. A regular in the Arizona music scene, Sarah’s Lament has earned a reputation for great shows. They create the perfect atmosphere for having a great time, while listening to good music. Sarah’s Lament has played venues both indoor and outdoor, including 2nd Fridays block party in downtown Mesa, The Big Fish Pub in Tempe, and Crabby Dons in Gilbert. Most notably, earlier this year, Sarah’s Lament was honored to play the Marquee Theatre.

Tony Putrino

Accordionist Extraordinaire – Tony Putrino has written, arranged and performed music since childhood, beginning with the accordion at the age of seven. He later expanded his abilities to include keyboards, as well. His first love has always been jazz. That, combined with the influence of contemporary pop music, created in him a unique approach to accordion playing. Hearing his blend of jazz, R&B, rock ‘n roll, romantic Europe and the avant–garde is, to be sure, a different experience for aficionados of traditional accordion repertoire.

Caribbean Island Sounds – The Caribbean Cruisers are a select group of musicians specializing in the music of the Caribbean area. These styles include Calypso, Junkanoo, Soca, Latin, Reggae and Contemporary Jazz. The band’s repertoire includes traditional Caribbean favorites from the various islands, jazz set in Latin and other tropical styles and popular American tunes arranged in Caribbean rhythmic styles.

Jess Hawk Oakenstar

Indie Acoustic Guitarist – Jess Hawk Oakenstar is a widely traveled solo guitarist/singer/songwriter and “one-woman band” who was born and raised in Zimbabwe. Utilizing vocals, guitar & backing tracks for a “Virtual Band” you’ll experience Old & New Country Folk, Rock, Blues and Swing. Jess currently resides in Phoenix, AZ, and works regularly as a solo performer, as well as being part of a duo, Wayward Maggie.
