During the four days of March 14th 2013 through March 17th 2013, the LPGA tour will be hosting the world-renowned 2013 RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup at the JW Marriott in Desert Ridge at the Wildfire Golf Club.
The RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, which is an event honoring the original 13 women who founded the LPGA in 1950, will be held on the greens and fairways (and hopefully not in the rough) of the Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa located in Desert Ridge North Phoenix Arizona.
The tournament was recently expanded to a four day 72 hole format, and will have 132 of the world’s top ranking women golfers, all competing for a $1.5 million purse and the pride of a very meaningful win. There is also the promise of $500,000 to the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program. The defending champion from 2012 is Yani Tseng.
