We have been working with numerous Desert Ridge home buyers over the past 12 months and during those past 12 months, our clients have seen homes come and and go; very quickly.
Homes for sale inventory levels in the communities of Desert Ridge are extremely low. But when we put Desert Ridge up against other North Valley communities, we are not surprised.
The only other areas in North Valley that offer a similar blend of marketplace and community are the communities of Grayhawk and DC Ranch.
Nestled at the base of the McDowell Mountains and developed by world-renowned DMB Associates, DC Ranch has always commanded exceptional prices for DC Ranch real estate. But for families who work west of this part of Scottsdale, DC Ranch is not the most ideal location.

We believe that Desert Ridge is the better value. Located just over the north side of the Loop 101 and split down the middle by Tatum Blvd, not only do Desert Ridge real estate owners have easy access to the Loop 101 and the I 51 freeways, but they are really not much further away from Kierland Commons than Grayhawk home owners. And there is no other community in North Phoenix or North Scottsdale that can match the volume of dining, shopping, and entertainment options that the Desert Ridge Marketplace offers.
With regard to pricing, Grayhawk home prices average a minimum of $40/sq ft more than those of homes in Desert Ridge. At approximately 5,700 homes, Desert Ridge currently has only 66 homes for sale. Grayhawk has approximately 2700 homes with 57 homes for sale.
If you are a buyer in charge of a family, and you are interested in North Scottsdale or North Valley property, you may want to consider visiting the communities of Desert ridge. Desert Ridge homeowners have an array of amenities at their disposal practically within walking distance.
